About Me

Hi! I am currently a second-year Computer Science Ph.D. student at UNSW, Sydney, working within the UNSW NLP Group under the guidance of Dr. Aditya Joshi, Dr. Jiaojiao Jiang, A/Prof. Hye-Young Paik, and A/Prof. May Cheong.

My research focuses on Explainable Legal Natural Language Understanding (NLU), with an emphasis on developing compute-efficient language models for real-world legal challenges. I am passionate about developing models that are not only transparent and explainable but also scalable and computationally efficient. By addressing the complexities of legal language, I aim to bridge the gap between legal or non-legal stakeholders and AI-driven solutions, making legal information more accessible and equitable. My goal is to empower communities and foster an informed society where legal understanding is no longer a barrier.

Previously, I was a Legal NLP Researcher at the TCS Research Lab in Pune, India. I also hold a Master's in Electrical Engineering from IIT Gandhinagar, specializing in Image Processing and Computer Vision.

Broader Research Focus: Natural Language Processing, Legal Intelligence, AI for Social Good
